so i turned my comp on for the first time in a couple of weeks cos i needed to burn a dvd. i expected to have no nvidia drivers as normal with my comp problem, but the nvidia icon was there, and i could play cs (in offline mode cos my router is busted).

so the comp seems to have decided to work for today only perhaps, ill try and install an OS on the other hdd asap and see what happens.
