hi guys im new here been watching the vids and reading articles on here for the past few days

lucky i found this site because im about to buy a new cpu fan for my rig, i was going to go for the frio cos it was really in my price range, but with the summer and me living in the north west of england, we just get the humid heat and i hear they dont do well for amd phen-IIS

so is the NH-D14 worth the investment and is there a cheaper and trustworthy supplier in england than my current chappel of computer parts

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/noctua-nh-d14-dual-radiator-and-fan-quiet-cpu-cooler

?

thanks

The D14 is definietly worth the investment, it's the best air cooling heatsinck there is, the only other cooler that comes close is the Silver Arrow.

As for supplier of PC parts Aria is very trustworthy, they even have there own section on here for customer support. If you stick around after a month and 50 posts you can get free shipping from them.

yea will look into them. im going this thursday to get the fan or so, if it cheaper on aria even with shipping i will order off them. thinking of getting a ssd aswell see if they got any good offers

Aria is having a big sale on Tuesday so you might want to check that out for some good deals.

yea been checking out the website some good deals. scan have good ones aswell on somethings but the cpus and board have good prices.

been looking at the fans and i think imgoing to get get a nh-d14.

now i just gotta plan a new airflow system for my case. ive got a Coolermaster HAF 922 . thinking 3 230mm bitfinix fans, 1 doing the exhaust on the top and a 120mm noctora rear exhaust for the cpu fan. hopefully should get my little amd to 4ghz without it cooking me in my room lol

I found a vidéo of Computex 2011 which gives some information about Noctua. There are some news and a new version V2 of the NH-D14. It should not change much compared to the V1, but I did well to wait a bit.

The Rev2 of the DH14 looks like its minor changes have been made to accomodate the new 2011 motherboard layouts with ram slots either side.

NH-W240?

Susanoo pwnage? That triple tower looks awfully like the Coolermaster V8, I wonder if Noctua can make it work without making us deaf?... probably. That new fan reminds me of a Silverstone Air Penetrator without the spiral duct.
