The rig of BigH3017! First post! :)

Greetings guy! This is my first post ever on this forum so I figured I would introduce myself with my rig. It started off as a high school budget build and has evolved into something more. I am a student and work a few jobs to have money to save and use to work on my computer. I have upgraded things one at a time since I started working on the pc. The only things that are original from the initial build are my power supply, motherboard, ram, cpu and hard drive. It originally had a set of two GTX 460 1gb's and was housed in a NZXT beta that I got for free off a friend. Since then It has gotten a new house in the form of a HAF 932 advanced, new cooling with my custom loop, a set of 40gb intel ssd's in raid 0 and multiple graphics card changes. I went from the 460's to a evga GTX 560ti 448 classified ultra edition which I returned after about a month and then went for a evga GTX 580 1.5gb with a Koolance block (which I love). Recently I got into folding more and was able to work out a trade and ended up with a set of 3 GTX 480's with water blocks which are currently in the mail right now. I realize they suck the power and are super hot but to me its worth it for folding and the slight performance gain. Well enough talking, here is the rig! I love any criticism and suggestions, I am always trying to make my rig better if I can!

I can take more pictures if you guys care to see more!

thats an.......interesting rad placement to say the least, actualy looks surprisingly good with the white coolant not to sure about the looks coming out of the front doing some case modding would tidy that baby up

Yeah i completely agree with you guys. I just kinda wizzed it up there real quick to get it to work. When my 480s come in I plan on flipping the rad around and either drilling some holes in the mesh of the top of the case or simply running the tubing though the cut out for the top mounted psu which I am clearly not using haha. I realize that its pretty ugly right now but again its a WIP. I will post some new pictures when I get it all cleaned up

. I would rather hang it out the back but unfortunately I dont have space on my desk and I like to keep it up there to be able to look at my hard work lol.

welcome to the forum,

interesting. i've seen rads in some places...

we are glad to have you and your work in progress here in the forum.

Looks great inside! Maybe dremel 2 holes through the small grill next to your pci slots to go through the back? That's just my idea, I'm throwing in but let me say again, the inside looks pretty good!

Good work mate.

But do you really need this external rad? I think that full size 360 rad is enought for cpu and gpu.

If you think that you really need it than, turn your rad other way(so your fottings faceing back, drill some holes for tubes,it will looks much better, Or way you just can't mout it at the back of your case as most people does.Anyway I like the white and red theme:)

he is upgrading to 3x GTX480's so he will deffo's need the extra rad man.

Looks good man, im not a fan of the external rad but you will need it for the 480's for sure

yeah I know the rad is ugly right now but I already have my loop planned out for when the 480s come. I plan on running res>pump>video cards>cpu> out the watercooling grommets to the 480, which I will flip around>back though the grommets and hidden behind the 360>360>res. I would have much rather gotten a 60mm thick 240 and modded it into the floor of my case but I got the 480 in a trade and thats what I have right now. If anyone wants to trade 480 for 60mm thick 240 let me know haha. Thanks for all of your kind comments!

The deal with the 480's ended up going sour and so I chucked the 480 on the roof and re-did my loop. I will post a new picture tomorrow!

Here are a couple of new shots of the rig. The deal with the 480's fell though so I just re-did my loop minus the 480mm rad and cleaned a few things up. I hope you all like it!
