The Long Awaited AMD Runt Frame Driver Fix

would like to know if there are any noticeable differences in performance.
can't wait to see this reviewed

Never had issues with xfire on 7970's but just reinstalled everything yesterday to get rid of 8.1 most likely have these newer drivers installed but will check when I get home

Shit (cant expect more these days from amd) keep getting Atiumdag.dll fatal errors in - bf3, grid 2 , fsx ....

Time to go and see the nvidia camp soon me thinks :)

Oh, and old driver was uninstalled and driver cleaner was used...

tut tut amd :(

I've been trying them out in bf3 and finally can play it on 3 screens on ultra without stutter. Didnt realise the stutter that just happened in ultra was related to this but its fixed :D :D

Try underclocking the card. I had the same issue with a factory overclocked msi 3870 dropping the clocks back to standard solved it. Overclocking my current 6970 past 960mhz on the core causes those same errors to occur randomly. Above 980mhz, they reliably happen within 30 seconds. More core voltage is another option provided you're not thermally limited. (Or if it's locked)

The card is'nt overcocked due to it being the middle of summer here... This is defo a driver problem.. Rolled back to 13.101-130604a-159250E-ATI and everthhing is fine...

Saying that though I have always have had problems updating amd drivers.. Generally I do a fresh install of windows when updating vga drivers but I really dont have the time to do that at the moment due to a few projects im working on...

Doesn't seem like these drivers have fixed much part from BF3 according to a couple of reviews I have read. They are Beta drivers though, so maybe the final release is the proper fix and this is just the first implementation and they will gradually add Betas till they release the full fix in the final build.

You are always going to get miscalculated frames with a dual card setup. From what I'm reading sometimes the AMD performs better sometimes the Nvidia performs better. It's just a mess no matter what.
