hey people sorry for the lack of updates recently was a short work week last week for me so i couldn,t order in any more parts to ad to the soon to be beast .but i did get round to flushing out the loop and leak testing as it sits .wich i,am glad to report all went well not leaks and managed to flush out all those nasty manufacturing leftover,s .was quiet amazed of the amount of metal flakes and paint overspray ended up in the rads .was a eye opener .also managed to mount the bitfenix recon fan controller along with wiring up the enermax vegas apollish fans at the front .they gleam through the umbrella cutout just they way i had planned .sorry there,s no pic,s ive gone over my cap this month but it resets in the next few days as soon as it does ill have the pics up the

hey guys here the pic to show you all how the front panel turned out with the fans in place .hopefully be ordering in the power supply tomorrow and and a bitspower mini valve

Detail pic of that front logo? It's a bit tricky to tell what's going on from that picture above. Also,
how did you do that cutout?

I'm not sure about wrapping the sides, seems a bit too much for my tastes, but in the end it's you
who has to like it. ;)

sorry about the pic was late when the photo was taken .its not easy getting a good shot with these fans and the camera im using is nothing special .hope these pic are a bit better .as for the cutout a steady hand and a dremel is all i used to cut the front logo out ounce i,d marked it out on the masking tape i placed on top of the panel so i didnt stress plastic worked well i reckon .got an email from my parts supplyer and seems all the parts i order,d this week are in bar the main one my power supply an extra 2 day wait  .wich will slow down to no end .as you can tell im not impressed there site said it was instock .not till after i,ve payed for everything i find out there out of stock and ill have to wait two days longer

I would recommend building yourself a small tool that allows you to cut your heat shrink to equal
length and then redoing the heat shrinks on the wires. Having it at different lengths looks just
wrong imo. I remember seeing a tool like that in a Youtube vid a while back.

It's basically just a few blocks of wood. One of them serves as a wall against which you can butt
up your piece of heat shrink and two other blocks form a guide for the knife making sure all pieces
have exactly the same length. The last block is the foundation for the whole contraption. It's easy
to make and well worth the effort I'd say.

I do like the red/white colour scheme though. :)

Cheers for that alpenwasser for that but i used pre cut heatshrink .it just im new to cable sleeving .its the first time i tryed doing this so it,s a bit of a joint learning curve .know time for a small update iv,e painted my power supply and the dust filter .I also installed a mini valve so adding to the loop later .also drained the distilled water and cleaned out the rads and the loop .then replaced the it with koolance hi performance blood red liquid (liq-702).i ordered in some more bitspower sleeving and some uv red anti kink coil to brighten the whole thing up a bit more .so heres a pic of a small pic to update of were im upto so far

hey peeps looking for an opinion on the the idea of changing the white fan on the hdd rack from a 120mm to a 140mm fan instead i still have the fan that came with the case but was wondering if anyone got any good suggestions for something that will go with the look its got so far . currently it,s a toss up between the bitfenix spectre pro black tinted white led fan ,the fractal desigh silent series r2 and the nzxt rifle bearing fan . what would you guys say is the better choice or let us know if ya think of something better besides the corsair series .there killa fans the corsair series but not what im looking for

Ah, I see. Yes of course placing all the pieces of heat shrink at the same level is also something
that can be tricky even if they all had the same length. Since I'm using paracord without heat
shrink I had sort of forgotten about that.

I have both the Spectre Pro and the Fractal Design, and the Spectre Pro pushes quite a bit
more air. Theyr'e both pretty silent when undervolted, however the Fractal has a slight motor
ticking sound (I doubt you could hear it over the rest of the rig, but it's noticeable when you
have the fan running in open air right beside you. Don't know about the NZXT fans.

What about the Enermax 140's? They also come in white,(-ish) and their specs dont' seem too
bad (haven't read any reviews though):
Everest UCEV14, Cluster UCCL14.

hhmm cheers for the info as always alpenwasser on the fractal design fans .i hadn,t heard about this ticking sound with the motors before and had never used them myself to find that out .iv,e put the nzxt fan in there for now (the right way round this also ) but think ill go with either the cluster uccl14 or the spectre pro. will end up been the fan ill end up using

quick progress update still sleeving cables :dammit: .but getting there slowly .you,ll note the a few red extensions are there just to brighten it up a bit more :rollinglaugh:
