Yer, you can gain money by doing quick races/tasks that pay good money.
There is one on champion level which can be done in under 25secs and pays out $70,000 which is how I make money if I need it
Once it's done click next then click retry and do it all over again
makes the millionaires challenge etc seem a waste of time.I think it would be interesting to try hardcore mode on a steering wheel
Theres this one, you get $10,000 for going 140mph on a windy road, just go froward past the start line, then behind you there is a huge straight away, did that for $200,000
but iv been noticing some problems, when im doing a race that is far away from home, or was dodging the cops far away, the ground disapeared and i kinda fell ino the water below me

Sorry to revive an old thread but...
I bought this game for the PS2 for me missus (because she finished NFS:Carbon in 2 weeks
) and tbh it didn't impress us. TERRIBLE textures on the floor and the cars don't fell very real, they seem to skate around the place....
Cars look ok and there seems to be a good selection. I've bought a Ford Mustang as me 1st car and just done performance kit 2
I'm gona try and get into it a bit more but I can't help but feel as though this game wasn't built for the PS2 at all.

I've played it on my bro's xbox 360 and on my pc, LOVE IT! the xbox looks better simply because i can bearly play it on low with my ati x1600xt, At the stock clock i couldnt even get 15fps i had to oc to 680 just to get a remotely good fps of 20. But taht being said it still looked freaking beutiful. But i really would like to see it on max
