Just a quick question as i am new to the prommy game :D

@3Ghz my idle temps are -22c and load temps are about +3c. Is this about right? Its an r507 GT on a Opty150 if you don't already know.

Cheers.

Whoa!!!

Too many volts my friend and those temps are bang on - drop it down to 1.475 * 113% and see if you can still go as high with your clocks.

yah, its a bit flaky at 1.475, but il see if I can lower it ;) Just needed to know that the load temps were ok.... Cheers guys.

mmmmm flakey eh?

The highest I have to run for benching on my FX55 SD wk13 is 1.525 x113% and thats running 3dm03 at 272*13 - then my temps are zero under load.

Firlty make sure rear fan on teh mach is set to turbo and front fan set to 75% to ensure good air flow and better cooling under load.

That opty needs quite a bit of extra voltage to go higher - which surprises me.

yep, can't go under 1.500 @ 265x12. BSODs in benchmarks if i do. The side panel is off, both fans on max, and a desk fan blowing on the GFX cards lol. I cannot get this chip to bench at anything above 265x12. me finks its as far as the CABBAGE will go. Now where is there a nice FX55 for sale...? I wonder lol

You could try adding washers to the head bolts on teh mach to improve the contact on the cpu - U have 8 on each side which helps the head apply more pressure to the IHS - could be good a few more degrees and perhaps get you to where I think you should be which is 270x12 :)

Also try 704-2BT BIOS - that might help although with my BH5 I was very happy with 623-2.

You may also find the temps drop after a day or so the chip and head need to seat.I agree with mav thats a lot of volts my 55 at 14x255=3.6 needs 1.5vx113%
