Yeah, I am a colossal geek...

Edit - Why does my Red XIII/Nanaki tatt look different to the one posted earlier in the thread? Official art is why -

I am also in the process of getting the artwork for the Battle Arena floor done up to go on my back and Red's back leg tatt to go on my thigh.

Arm tatt cost me about $230-250 AUD, Neck tatt cost $70, both done by the same artist who is a friend of mine (and she does excellent work too Aussies. If you're near Brisbane, check her out - Kate at Inked Out Tattoo Studio, located at John Street, Rosewood). The arm I got for my 22nd birthday, so about 6 years ago, and the neck was done in 2013 after I failed an exam to make myself feel better :P

As to the process, I bloody well love the feeling of the gun. Back of the arm was a bit tender, but most of it was fine and the neck was all good. I chat to my tattooist while she works. I hear back tatts are another story, IE quite painful, so we'll see when I go for in for my back (indefinite time period as I prefer to sit and think on each tattoo for a good while before committing to it).

Duuuuuuuuuuuude that Red X111 looks awesome. Was going to get that on my forearm but decided to hold out.

Cheers man. It was the first FF I ever played, and I am one of those "THOU SHALT NOT PUT ANY OTHER FINAL FANTASIES BEFORE VII" kind of people. That is why the Battle Square floor is going on my back :P

I have some ideas for non-geeky tatts, but I can't love them yet. If I don't love it, it doesn't get to go on my body (much like my Fiancee ;) )

Edit - oh, and that arm pic was when I was about 30kg fatter than I am now haha.

Don't think just do. Get it somewhere private so it's not always on display then that way if you grow out of it only you and your partner will see it anyway.

I won't ever just slap any old thing on. I take about 2-3 years between tatts and decide which ones I really want. Saves any embarrassment later on or having to explain why something is so hidden.

I can't get anything seriously offensive either, because I am aiming for the Defence Force here in AU and visible offensive tatts are pretty much a no-no.

I also aim to do office work later on in life when I get outta the Forces and while Gen X and Y are slowly changing the acceptability of tatts in any workplace, it's still kinda frowned upon when you have full sleeves and are trying to lock in a business contract ;)

Tired, apologies for any messed up grammer/sentences/spelling lol

I'm Australian lol

BTW in business. If you take it seriously you're in a suit as t very least a long sleeve shirt.

Edit-

I actually think the quote is fitting for someone in the defense force, not sure what role you'd be aiming for but if it's something combat that quote could end up being inspirational for youself and fellow troops.

Actually aiming to enter ADFA, come out as a GSO (General Service Officer) and then specialise into the Intelligence Corps.

3 year degree, 1 year training at Duntroon, a few years as a GSO, then try to shift over. Shouldn't be too hard considering the range of qualifications I will have. Network Engineering, Sociology/Psychology (when I do the degree for it), Security Officer background including CPP (Close Personal Protection) and Armed CIT (Cash in Transit).

If the life suits me I could see myself in there til 60 (mandatory ADF retirement age). Then I might go into politics ;)
