So in a month(ish) i'm hoping to build a new rig. This is gonna be for a little gaming (but i don't really have too much time

and i'm going switch my uni degree to software engineering starting this summer. so i'll probably be doing all my programing on this (not my laptop)

Another thing is that I already have a HafX and a HX650W, and a HD so the things i need are mobo, ram, cpu, and gpu.

I'm in canada and will be buying from either ncix or newegg, but i found that for the parts that i want ncix seems to be cheaper.

anyways here is a pic of what i think should be ok, PLEASE advise (((( I want the rig to be decent, but upgradable, and CHEAP (being a poor student

with the 2500k (which is what i meant to put in there the first time)

All looks good there but the only thing realy is if your planning to overclock you will want to get the 2500k instead of the 2500 as thats a no go on the non k chips due to the locked multi, if you have no plan on overclocking you may be able to save a little money going for a H67 motherboard instead of the p67, then again you might not as some of the lower cost range p67 boards have great features for the price.

Oh and dont forget to click the "give me the free games" box on the graphics card section of the checkout if the offer is still available when you order

Good build but personally I would change the motherboard for the Asus P8P67 PRO and spend the bit extra for the K version of the 2500.

OMG i didn't even realize i clicked the 2500 and not the 2500k :cussing:of course i do planning on OCing which is why i wanted a P67.... MY BAD

thanks for telling me that it looks good, i was looking for deals

SieB the Asus P8P67 PRO looks nice too, only its more expensive :S i'm looking for the cheapest p67 with the ablilty to have x16 or x8/x8in SLI. and i think that msi is the cheapest decent mobo with that

thanks guys and let me know if u come across anything better at the same price, or cheaper
