SysXtreme AMD/Intel Layout Modification

Hi Guys,

I'm aware of the fact that there is quite a bit of scrolling involved in getting to areas of the forum.

Most of the forum is shrunk into subsections already, but the only areas that arn't shrunken are the AMD/Intel areas.

Please take a look at the test forum here: http://www.sysxtreme.com/~sites/sxtest/ and let me know if you like/hate the compressed layout of these areas.

Yeah seems pretty sweet. I prefer to have a bit less on the front screen and have clickable subsections.

yeah i tend to agree with kempez i think alot of people would prefer to have less scroll :D

I don't mind it Jim... Looks good. It will take a bit of getting used to but in the longrun should be good!

Ok, a few more yes's and i'll go ahead and change it.

On another note, what should the forums heading name be? I'm looking for a word to collectively describe motherboards/processors/ram...

I like computer overclocking & modifying, I don't know of anything else that would fit better up there because thats exactly what we discuss here... well 1337 pr0n too but u dont want that in the title. :p

I think he meant that Sections subheading? How about Central Computer Hardware? Or Central Hardware, or Essential Hardware?

"What you spend your money on"

"Hardware Heaven"

"System basics"

"SX Basics"

"SX'y Hardware"

"SX's Heartland"

Just a few.. :)

I would say yes. Less scrolling sounds good to me.

Cool, i have however come up with a single downside.

By consolidating all of the areas into subforums, you will only now get the most recent post from all of the combined subforums (on the right of that page), instead of getting a recent post for every forum in the amd /intel section

(did anyone understand that?)

Understood XMS...but I use the "since last visit" button for that so doesn't bother me...
