System Crashed with hd 5770

Hi everyone, this is my firs post on the forum and I'm kinda new on this gaming thing, but it's great. I'm a PC gamer and my system this is my system:

Phenom II x6 1090T / Gigabyte 880GM-USB3 / 4x2GB Kingston HyperX BLU DDR3 1600mhz / Radeon HD 5770 Vapor-X / Cooler Master GX-650 PSU / 500 GB Seagate Barracuda (SYS) 1TB Seagate Barracuda (DATA) / Cooler Master Elite 430 Black x3 120mm fans w/blue LEDs, all Cooler Master

I overclocked my GPU to 895 mhz on the core clock and to 1400mhz on the memory and passed the AMD Overdrive test, system was stable, played 4-5 hours of GTA IV with no problem. After that i opened Dirt 2, and on the first 20 second of race the screen froze, after 5-10 seconds system crashed and automatically re booted.... i had to restart twice to be able to start up windows and after that my system seems to be running a little slower... any idea on what happened ??

It's not stable. Not all game push the GPU the same, some games will crash a GPU at high clocks other wont, but if one does that means your not 100% stable.

If you overclocked youe memory, drop the clocks on the memory back to default. OCing mem clocks on GPU does not offer anything unless you are bench testing, which you are not. Mem overclocks are usually the number one cause of GPU OC crashes.
