System bleeding

Hi folks,

dumb question time, but first here's my watercooling kit as follows in a Switch 810...

360 Phobya G changer v2 Roof
240 Phobya G changer v2 Floor
EK cpu block clear plexi
EK gpu full cover 680 block
XSPC Acrylic Dual 5.25” Reservoir with Alphacool VPP655 / Laing D5 Single Edition

I filled my loop today to leak test (a little over 2ltrs of coolant), alls well so far, but... how long roughly, will it take to bleed out the air? It's been running now for 12 hours (leak free), but there's still a fair few bubbles going round the CPU block.

Before you ask ;), yes I've shaken, tilted, lent and pivoted the PC to help get the bubbles out, I've switched on and off many times, I've switched off to let the bubbles settle, then switched on again, and I've topped up the coolant ... but there's still air in the system.

Also, is it safe to use the PC while these bubbles are present or is it best to fully bleed the system? It's the bubble in the cpu block that has me concerned.

your water pump prolly isn't variable, so just keep cycling, 2min on, 5min off.
keep rocking that CPU bubble to the highest point. don't know your routing, but
would assume that the next device is the radiator? if so, then work it towards the
outlet of radiator. if the next device is GPU, you'll prolly have to lay the case on its
back to allow the GPU to be higher than CPU and the trapped air can walk that way.

Thanks for the reply, not sure what you mean by 'variable', the pump does have speed settings, is that what you mean? Its set to num 2 atm ... my apologies, after being a air cooling user for the past 20 years, this is my first serious W/C setup, hence the noob questions.

Great tip on laying the PC on its side, brought more trapped air out of the rads, just a few tiny ones at the top of the CPU block now.

My loop goes res/pump - 360 - cpu - gpu - 240 - res/pump.

Run the pump at full whack to force the air out of the system. Took me about 7 hours of moving the case about to bleed mine last time i had it in bits. It then a subsequent week for all the little air bubbles to dissipate. Your loop is in exactly the same order as mine, so may well be similarly difficult to bleed.
