We're not in the business to be like OCN

I like the features we have now, granted some of them OCN has as well, but I think the flame/icon idea is going a bit too far... The rep system is plenty enough IMHO.

Well not really considering OCN got rid of the feature... And it would be a social area for people like me who just like to talk, then I wouldn't have to do it on the forum. It wouldn't be taking away from any valuable posts.

I'm just tossing out ideas... I dont know of a lot of other things we could do as far as plugins / features.

I just think that the dedicated server would be the best thing to get. Probably give us a few more peeps in here. Cost bux tho!!

rgr that... dedicated box would be nice... offer is still on the table, i'll put together an inexpensive server box that could run CSS / UT2k4 24/7 if XMS is willing to get the hosting fee.

I did consider having a chatroom as its an amazingly easy feature to impliment.

However, what initially put me off was the fact that: (A) Its been done on other forums. (B) Its failed on other forums. (C) Any information posted there will not be saved, and therefore will not benefit the forum.

The only thing i did consider was a 'shoutbox', which would basically just be a box on the right of the page for you to just post random messages in for everyone to see.
