What is SRT? It is a combined a HDD and a SSD for caching < thats how i know it as..

Is it possible to switch SSD's when you are running an SRT setup?

For an example:

I am running a SRT setup with an OCZ 120gb drive, 60gb is wasted.

I want to buy a agility 3 SSD with 60gb, its on a deal and im a ocz fanboy.

Is it possible to keep all my files on windows? or can i just swap the drive and everything will work out ok?

Thanks.

then what would you do with your 120gb SSD?

If i was you with that amount of space just ditch the SRT and run that as your boot drive

agree with the above post use the 120gb ssd as boot drive will be faster than IRST but yes you have it correct IRST is just caching to your ssd from your hdd and yes 60gb is wasted of your 120gb. yes you can swap ssd's. just go into the IRST program undo your current cache profile change out the ssd and reapply your IRST.

But again I'll say it IRST is a waste use your 120GB as oot drive use your hdd to install proggies to (putting your most used programs on the ssd) and save the @@ you were going to spend on a 60gb ssd to something else.
