Every time I ask you guys a question, a new variable pops up and I end up bloody conflicted. Argh.
Okay, so I'm building a new PC in the New Year. It's going to run anything (talking SLI 780Ti's or Crossfire 290X's).
At the moment, I use 3840x1080. I love having my second screen for productivity. So, the obvious next step up is to add a third 1080p monitor and give surround gaming a shot.
So I've been planning my next build with this in mind, and I was just recommended to go 2560x1440p instead. I get it, higher pixel density backed into a similar sized screen = glorious.
But I need opinions and experienced users to lend me your knowledge. Which should I do?
Add the third monitor. 5760x1080 (60Hz) surround gaming. Bezels can be annoying, but to be fair I've been staring at one in the middle of my setup without any problems.
OR
Sell both, get a 2560x1440. But, what's worth more? The bump in quality and performance, or surround gaming and the easy workflow offered by more than one monitor?
