Suggestions for a new power supply?

Hey guys, i was thinking of buying a new power supply (well, actually i had to cuz my old one gut burned xD ) but i don't have any ideea what to look for and i was wondering if you guys could make some suggestions. I have a

intel core 2 quad 2.4 ghz

nvidia 9600 gso 768 mb

4 gb ddr2 ram

570 gb sata2 hard disk

intel dp35dp motherboard

Also i'm looking for something under 40$.

you are gonna have to buy a cheap psu for that kinda money mate and i would highly advise against it, go for a good brand and about 450w+

maybe ocz stealth series? I can run mine fine 88gts and 9600 dont differ that much.....

I have a replacement 9600gt and it runs fine, but wont run both. That could be one of your best bets.

Well, i'm pretty limited with my budget now and i'm looking for something quite cheap and fast. That's why i'm sayin' it has to be around 40$, otherwise i'll have to wait a lot to get it.

id advise you to wait, cheap power supplies are too risky to use as when they go they take out other components with them and in the end u will have more to replace in the long run, plus they never manage the wattage rating they are given

there is a lot out there, but id reccommend lookin into a corsair, enermax, seasonic, ocz, tagan thermaltake they are all top quality psu's

you just have to choose how much wattage you would need, corsairs psu calculator will help you out

Looks like i'll go for 450 or 500 W and i'm thinking of choosing an enermax. They have a 500W supply at a quite resonable price, i think it's called

Enermax ECS500AWT 500W

enermax are a quality company so u should be fine with them mate

The better psus if ur on a tight budget would be Silverpower imo.

Used many of them myself.

I would suggest having a look at the Corsair CX400.
