sudden pc death

Hey been struggling with this all weekend.
I was surfing the net when my PC suddenly died (I figured it was a power cut at first)
I then figured it was the PSU so I switched it out with a mates PSU (both are ax 860)

Still no joy .. When I hit the power button (case or motherboard button) I get nothing , all I see is the power button on the motherboard lit up nothing else.

No idea what the issue could be , tried pulling the GPU .. No joy there.

The mother board is a z77 mpower big bang edition.
2500k CPU
7970 GPU
Corsair ax 860 psu

Any help would be amazing as I'm pulling my hair out ATM.

Have you taken the motherboard out of the case, put it on the motherboard box, connected it up and turned it on? My guess it that something could've been knocked and it is shorting out on the case.

haver you checked the fuse on the plug of the power cable, sorry to ask but it could be as simple as the fuse has gone

That was my first thought, but its happening on 2 power supplies using all there own cables (including the plug)

Nothing shorting it, the motherboard is getting power, if I push the clear cmos it will flash blue, if I push the ocgenie button it will keep its blue led on, but that's it.

I'm completely clueless here

Edit : corrupt BIOS maybe???

Not yet , water cooler system, so it'll take a bit of time to try but I'll give it a go and report back

No leaks anywhere? Does the pump still work? If the pump has failed, the CPU gets too warm and shuts the system down automatically.

I doubt a bios would randomly corrupt during internet browsing...

OK made a weird mistake but noticed something, if the CPU power is removed everything turns on for a second then turns off, once the 8pin is plug in it goes back to being non responsive

Pump is fine too
