Sub £30 headset.

Hola chicas!

Looking to invest £30 or so into a nice headset. Not looking for great soundquality as I have proper headphones and speakers for that. Mainly interested in them having decent mic quality, being comfortable and being functional (plus looking snazzy).

I have three choices so far:

Sennheiser PC 310:

They are £40 but I can get them for £20 with a voucher.

I thought the sennheisers seemed a bargain as I can get them for £20 as they are 25% off in HMV and I have a £10 HMV voucher...? (down from £40)

No I definitely want a proper headset with attached mic that I can leave at home with my PC as I always take my headphones out and about with me.

Just get a microphone.
Your headphones will be better than any headset for the budget.

You really don't need to spend any more for gaming and VOIP.

As for the HMV voucher, just go and spend it as fast as possible, considering the way HMV are going it'll be invalid within a couple of weeks. I have one too so I'm just gunna look for anything to buy in there.

Edit - seeing your last reply though - I'd take the Sennheisers...

man i got me some of these for my wow teamspeak, wow they are good for the price. replaced an old seinhesier set that i had for years, solid boom/mic swivel too, tbh though for £9.99 you could just get a couple of sets and keep, had these 9months now, and still impeccable, the wee man gets allsorts on them too.

You should try search the sennheisers on amazon if they have them, just to see the reviews. Then if you like what you read get them with your voucher from the other place.

I never owned any of the mentioned headsets, but I did use Creative HS800 Fatal1ty for the last ~ 3 years. Build quality was ok for that price, I liked the sound (was quite good for music as well) and they were very comfortable for me, although if you look at reviews some people say they couldn't wear them for multiple hours. Never got any complaints about the mic.
In the end the cable snapped because I got up while having my foot on the cable. :frown:
