Stungs Enthoo.

With all my family problems of late, my Enthoo hasn't had much attention of late, so I spent the last 3 days, and nights giving her the love she deserves. My plan was to buy all new kit specific for the case, but frankly I couldn't be bothered, so I used what I had here. The same goes for a build log I just wanted to have a working rig again.

Specs.

Case, Enthoo Primo
Mobo, MSI MPower sp
CPU, i5 4670k
GPU, 2 x HD 7950's
RAM, 16gb Avexir 1600 ( until the new MPower Blizt 11 )
PSU, RM 850
Boot, Intel 530 160 gb ssd
games, Samy 840 pro 256gb ssd
Music, OCZ agility 3 60gb
Monsta 420, ST 30 360
120 and 140mm Akasa Vipers all round in push pull
XSPC Raystorm cpu block, 2 x NexXxos 7950 blocks and B, plates
XSPC Photon 270
Koolance PMP 500

So here is my mini log.

Hers is the case empty

And here it is full.

There are still a few things to do, to finish it off but I can't be bothered. But the bulk is done along with a fresh Windows install, the loudist thing is the pump, No overclock yet it is still in the out of box state, and temps are pretty good 27, 27, 29, 26, not bad considering all fans are at 5v.

Parallel GPUs? You'd be better putting them in series.
You're currently only allowing half the available pressure to each.

You should get some yellow braided cables too for it.

One of the best black and yellow themed rigs I've seen in a while though!

What around the back, no chance matey, it's god awful it makes my head hurt thinking about it. I need to spend a good day on cable management, in the pc and around my new desk. I just want to get the basics installed, and get Eyefinity mastered before the fun times. I sodding hate cable management with all my sole.

Cheers mate, the cables are on there way. regarding the parallel gpu's I have run both and there is no temp difference at all, besides the pump I'm using is a little beast so there shouldn't be any pressure issues ( Koolance PMP 500 ) I new There would be comments about that, this is the only forum, were parallel is an issue. You should have seen the first idea I had. I was going to add the GPU into the run too.

So youve got all the rads blowing in but added noisey 80mm fans on the back panel for exhaust....? Hmmmmm questionable config matey. Considering the massive rads that roof rad should be on exhaust IMHO and those small fans at the back just sacked off all together.

Makes me think Im looking at a case from 5 years ago otherwise

I agree on fixing the fans as well.. just don't look right and those tiny fans in the back seem like an afterthought. You also have loads of space in the front of the case. Make use of it if possible?

As above, turn the fans around on the top rad so that they are in push/pull exhausting through the roof, and lose the tiny fans completely. Then light it all up to show off the glory!

That was how it was set up originally bottom, front and back as intake, and the roof as exhaust, and after 2 weeks of it running the dust was terrible. I smoke and I've got a white bulldog .

I'm trying this way to try and find out the best positive pressure set up for me.I thought I would give it a go this way around. All intake except the rear as exhaust. There are quite a lot of people on another forum running the Enthoo this way around, and all have said the temps are either on par or better. If anything my temps are a few degrees lower.

I like my little fans, I was quite shocked at how near silent they are, they're the only fans on 12v still and they are quieter than the Vipers at 5v.

I think the same about the front, being bare, but am at a loss on what to put there, I was thinking maybe a thin 280 rad ? or maybe not. That is all I can think about putting there. Any ideas peeps ?

I could even fit a mini itx board on the top panel, with an apu, with the io ports up top, with a slim 240/280 rad bellow, and use it for basic browsing, so no need to use the main rig for every day to day stuff ? I've got everything here except for the motherboard ...ummmm

I can't get it out of my mind now I mentioned it. I'm even pricing up motherboards. I just wish MSI done a mini itx MPower so it all matched.

I've read somewhere that Primo owners complained how the case is to low to the ground so air intake is rather lousy on the bottom side. You could try to raise it up a bit if you decide to switch top fans to exhaust, maybe it will help.

I'm in the process of making a plinth on wheels to raise it about 2 inches. Although my temps are fine, looking at them now they're on 28, 25, 24, 25, with an ambient of 23.5. I have also got 2 sensors one in the res for the fluid, and 1 nearly in the centre of the case. The fluid is 26.5, and the air is 26.8. Considering it is all in an out of box state ( I hate the running at stock phrase )

A quick update on temps since I have put it on a plinth. It has an extra 90mm of clearance. My ambient is at 22, and at idle, I'm on, 26, 25, 25, 24, I ran OCCT for 20 mins, and the highs were, 50, 48, 49, 47. All fans on 5v, and cpu running at out of box state.

I like the yellow theme its different to the standart blue or red (like mine :))

Are you going to light up your raystorm?

Cheers mate, no I've got the black ally shroud on it at the moment. I have been thinking about swapping it out when I go in to sort out a few niggles.

Oh, Paul finally has a functioning rig again! (sorry, it just seems that your plans always
got interrupted before they could reach fruition). :D

I do rather like this, deifnitely looking forward to how it will look with yellow
cables. Can't really say that the back fans bother me much, if they work for you
they work (what matters IMO is that they serve an actual purpose and aren't
just there for no good reason, though that is tricky for me to judge from here ;) ).
