Stretching Tubing

What do you think about stretching 3/8 tubing over 1/2 barbs???

My reasoning behind this is the simple factor that im getting a Maximus Extreme mobo and was considering not using the adaptor provided but just stretching the tubing.

Then again, if needs be, i'll either add another loop and do the board on its own or just change my entire system down to 3/8.

What I do to stretch tube is to boil a kettle and dip the end in. After a while the tube becomes very soft.

Quickly stick the hot end of the tube over the barbs.. sorted!

What about the tube splitting or cracking over time? and would you recommend any specific tubing to use for both 1/2 and 3/8?

Iv got the XSPC 1/2 stuff right now.

That is some good tubing so I am sure it will be fine.

Well, I have never had it split, but that doesn't mean it will. With a good clip on it I am sure it will be fine mate.

Personally I would just Change to the XSPC 3/8" tubing

or just buy 2 3.8 barbs and have it for example:

1/2" tube/barb -> block ->3/8" barb/tubing -> Maximus block -> 3/8" tube/barb -> block -> back out to 1/2"

I shall probably just change the entire system. I was thinking about just adding another loop to the system but thats a bit pricey.

You seen the adaptors that come with this thing??? jesus they're ugly. And talk about constrictive.

Ill decide when it comes. until then. give me more ideas. XD
