Strangest issue with my GPU.

GTX670 SLI, latest drivers, always do a proper cleaning before new ones.

In some games, I get a crash... "OpenGL Driver has crashed and stopped responding"

Well, it's weird...because the games are D3D. Temps are fine, below even 60.

The NVIDIA OpenGL driver detected a problem with the display
driver and is unable to continue. The application must close.

They're D3D games, and it's not every game. So it's odd, I've actually never seen an error like this before...I've had BSOD's, Driver crashes, and a ton of other things...

But never this error.

Happens everytime I try to start "Bastion"

Have you tried running it from one GPU?

In the Nvidia control panel you can set it to run specific games and apps for single card SLI etc.

So it's happening on one then?

Have you performed any tests on the card/s?

I have an issue with Fallout 3 but only in SLI.

Hmm, happening in BioShock Infinite as well. Very odd, as temps are 68c on the first GPU and 54c on the second GPU.

Might just format, it's been a year since I last did.

Thanks, going through the process of making sure to backup game saves and such data that I don't want to lose. Going to spend an hour just reconfiguring my codecs as well...

Good luck with it all. Hopefully it's just the new drivers and you get a nice little boost from your spring clean/reformat.

So...formatted. aFter some issues with not being able to find driver discs, so no net...had to go download them at a friends.

Anyways, I attempted to play Bastion again...getting the same error...on a fresh install of Windows. Could the latest driver be the issue, truly? It nearly doubled my FPS In BioShock Infinite in some places...

314.22

The Bioshock increase just sounds like a working SLI profile to me.

Have you tried any other previous drivers?

SLI worked before the new drivers; just these were some type of crazy optimization.

No, I had not tried Bastion before hand, I don't believe. Well, I mean, not on the previous drivers. I could go back, I suppose.

Strangest thing. Never seen an issue like this.

Sadly as they add support for newer games they break support for older ones :(

Fallout 3 for me in SLI is totally borked. I get 100% usage on both GPUs but it flashes like a bloody strobe unless I disable SLI. It's slightly better in the latest driver but still broken as buggery.

I'd try some older ones out and see if it changes anything.

Well - I switched back to 313.96 and Bastion works.

Of course, BioShock performance took a nose dive. I don't get what the heck they did - This has a proper SLI profile as well, some driver level tweak that gave a 40% boost?

Well! Turns out it wasn't the driver afterall. It was my monitor OC. I re-oc'ed my monitor back to it's normal 115HZ(Max I can get!), and started Bastion, only to get the same error.

Upon removing said OC; it all worked hunky dory.

Which is rather frustrating as it's worked fine for quite awhile...I dunno if I can go back to 60HZ, and I'd honestly have wasted about 155$ if that was the case. :P
