Starting Problems

I have a Prometeia mach II GT. I have an error message “no shutdown” this is causing the compressor to continually cool at full rate. I believe all the hardware to be in full working order. The usb connection works. The power supply setup in my computer is unusual as there are 2 power supplies. The first PSU “A” is connected as a normal power supply to the primary HDD, the mobo and a few other internal drives. The second PSU “b” is rigged with an AT style power switch independent of the first and is connected to the mach II , other internal and external drives and a cold cathode. I really need some help in getting rid of the error message.

Observations: when I turn both power supplies on at the same time the PC boots straight away and is not held in reset by the mach II.

Your problem is you need to have the power supply that powers your pc to be connected to your mach2 if you use a seperate supply then the mach2 controler gets confused try running the mach2 on the same power supply as the mobo
