Starting on a cascade...

I'm probably going to build this for practice then sell it for cheap, but I'm starting a cascade. I got most of the parts already, built the HX already (you have no idea how hard getting a crap load of tubes inside a crap load of tight tubes then wrapping it, ) I got my compressors and I got my r22. I'll probably start with CO2 until I get ethane. I hope to actually get pics soon.

gl with that. r22 if run stuff but works best with a bit of r290. GL with the co2, its fun stuff . I didnt follow the part about spliting this into 2 auto's but i think you should screw around with the co2 first. I tried 2 auto's and i got co2 to condense but i was using valves which wasnt working. I sortov got out of phase change but still have a few unfinished projects (1.5hp r404 lt comp rigged to auto cascade). Btw could you eleberate on the design of your hx? did you use 5/8 with 3/8 evap inside or 1/2 and 2x1/8 or 1/2 and 1/4?

:EDIT: I jsut noticed your single stage. The easiest way to make a cascade would probably be taking the single and attaching it to the HX right after the old condensor which will now be a de-superheater. Just a thought to get this moving a bit faster.

Sorry for being slow guys. I finally got some wood for the phase and I'm gotta get these evaps done, they refuse to get hot enough but I got a new trick to make an oven of doom.

Okay project NoLage is on hold for a bit sorry guys. I gotta wait for summer or more money to cascade away.

But I'll be finishing the single stage rebuild and begin a chiller and autocascade soon.

Geuss what? ITS BACK ON. I dont feal like pushign out an auto yet or anything really, just a cascade and will use co2 till I secure some ethane.

I'll be posting updates soon to this, probably this weekend as I prep for a cascade setup.

I'm debating to either use 2 rotary 1/2hp's, or 2x 1/2hp matsu****as.
