The reason why I asked me and my friends back star citizen 9 of us and they are basically saying that it was not worth your time because elite dangerous is becoming more more like star citizen every day and developing things that the player wants and delivering instead of just promising things at the players want

Because Star citizen will have things elite wont have, and vice versa, they are both vastly different enough, even though some aspects do get closer to eachother with elite's progress, it is comparable, but the general feel of the games is where the core difference is, star citizen is also a lot smaller in universe, but has way more careers to offer..

Yeah they do take a long time, but i dont really care all that much, plenty of other stuff to play.
admittedly i did spend way to much on the funding, but oh well, i still want them to take their time instead of being another no man's sky.

After watching the last couple of ATV's I would do it all again, it has taken them time to get the core fundamentals in place and soon you will see things starting to ramp up.
Unlike other games you don't see all this kind of stuff they build it over the 4-8 years then release it, Chris Roberts on the other hand is showing it all as it progresses and like SC itself that has never been done before either.
I seriously think 3.0 will be out before the end of the year and then it will flow from there.

Is always a good enough reason
To be perfectly honest I think the game should be out at the end of the year not ramping up it should be in people's hands it says that the game was meant to release in 2016 and I pushed it back to 2017 it needs to be released this year or it's going to be left behind.
