SSD - What should I look for?

I've been looking into getting a new SSD for my OS, apps and games. I currently have a Crucial C300 64gb and it just isn't cutting it.

So what I've read so far is that the 120 or 240gb perform better than the 60's and that one 120gb is better than two 60's in raid.

Is it true that the OCZ Vertex 3's have issues? How much better is the Chronos Deluxe than the regular Mushkin Chronos?

I'm looking for a solid performing, reliable SSD. 120gb.

well yeh i heard the same issues with OCZ , would definitly not get one of those

the one i can recommend is the one ime currently using

a corsair 120 or 240 gb force gt , i took one of those cause corsair always had a good reputation with memory

but their are other equally good brands , logicly i canno't comment on those and only recommend this one with certainty

corsair force 120gb ssd is a very good 120GB SSD, OCZ I'll always say will be crap due to me not liking OCZ stuff. Mushkin is alright but the Corsair is defiantly better

I would go with a 120gb Corsair Force 3 SSD

Price per gig. Always a biggy for me.

Whether you'd notice the difference between 400mbs and 500mbs is very debatable.

I can only recommend the Corsair Force 3 as I have one and it has been pretty solid for nearly 9 months now

. Other than that the Intel and Crucial SSD's seem to be the most reliable from what I've read and seen in videos.

I'm getting a variety of recommendations, and I appreciate that, but does anyone have an opinion of the Intel 520 or Samsung 830? They are on sale here and I wouldn't mind getting them.

There is also a sale on the Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 120Gb.

I have a crucial and they are very nice drives; however, I heard intel had lower failure rates and the Samsung had higher speeds. I'm considering putting the drives into raid 0 in the future.

Is £125 ($200) a good price for a Sumsung 830 128Gb?

I think I'm going with this... so many good reviews. And it looks sexy.

I don't think you can go wrong with either drive..

the samsung will do well with uncompressable data, plus everthing in the drive is 100% samsung

the intel, would be great because you know they would have your back for several years.
