SSD in RAID

I got a 60GB Corsair last christmas and have used it for my OS and apps, however it has soon filled up and I have only 2.4GB left. I cant'afford a bigger one but can afford another corsair drive for £50. Im thinking of putting them into RAID 0 only thing is what stripe size would be appropiate. I have looked on Google and the differences of opinion havent answered my question. Anybody know the best way to set them up. Cheers Guys

if it's fast enough for what you need now there's no point in raid 0. and any other array would be a bit silly. Can you afford to sell your current one and with 50 pounds buy a higher capacity new?

Possibly but wouldnt get that much for a 60gb secondhand methinks. Its not the speed thats an issue just the capacity.

Instead of going for another 60GB corsair, why not, for the same money, pick up a 120GB Mushkin Chronos?
I have two of them, and they're still extremely fast. Have your OS on your Corsair, and your programs + games on the Mushkin.

if you raid ssd's you lose trim or garbage collection (not sure which one) which means the performance of the drives will degrade in performance over time
