SSD for SRT

Hey everybody. I was looking for a good SSD that I could use for Intel SRT (smart response technology). As it will be used for caching, I don't think it will matter too much whether its SATA 2 or 3. Also, I want the SSD to come around as close as $1/Gb as possible. I find SSDs that are $1/Gb however they are in the range of 120gb and I heard that Intel SRT only works with 64gb and under. So, if anyone has any help or suggestions for an SSD I could use in my rig I would gladly appreciate.

My Rig:

Asrock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3

Intel Core i5 2500k

8Gb Mushkin Enhanced 1600mhz DDR3 RAM

MSI GTX 570 (reference)

OCZ ZX Series 850W Power Supply

1tb WD Caviar Black 6400RPM 64mb Cache HDD

NZXT Phantom Case

Noctua NH-U9B SE2 CPU HSF

get ya a crucial M4 or Kingston Hyper X 64Gb if you want to waste ur time with IRST if however you want mind blowing performance get the same or larger ssd and run opsys and important stuff on it and forget about wasting ur time with IRST. I tried it awhile back and all i got was system instability issues and crashes. Wasted the better part of 3 days trying to make it work.

Oh and you'll need a sata 6GB one as you'll be using the sata 6GB controller on the mobo.

Umm I don't get what you mean by opsys? Does it mean operating system? If so I simply cannot transfer my current OS from a HDD to a SSD, as I can't afford that large of an SSD. Also, the M4 and HyperX are really high end and expensive. Any cheaper (close to 1gb/$) that would still work well with SRT? Or perhaps another form of system caching?

opsys yes that means operating system

bro if ur going to do it do it right dont halfass it imho. your looking for performance right??? a 64Gb ssd is good by itself with the opsys on it and a few programs. I have 2 64's in raid 0 and still have 92Gb of free space. If done correctly opsys on ssd with just a few programs and games and what not on the 1tb drive ya have. It'll be loads faster than IRST
