SSD flavour of the month

Like all other tech i'm guessing SSDs change in preference all the time.

I'm contemplating spending some student loan on an SSD (thats what its there for???)

Anyway, is the kingston v+ series still the ones to go for or is there another crown?

Looking for the best value really at that price

Kingston V+, Muskin Castillo and the Corsair force are the tip top's to look out for at the moment, if i remember right the muskin is slightly faster than the V+ and is also slightly cheaper at the moment, cant remember how the corsair's fare in a fight with the other 2 for speed:£ ratio off the top of my head mind.

I thought the v+ scored better than the mushkin?

Anyway, for any brand id be going for a 64gb I can't afford anything more

Just gonna get the OS and one or two games/apps I use regularly on it

So the real question is v+ kingston 60gb vs mushkin deluxe 60gb

I thought OCZ Vertex 2e ssd's were the fastest, reasonably priced 1z atm? I just bought a 120gb 1 for £168, thought it was best bang for £.

If you want good value you are certainly not going to get the best performance. the fatest ssds are the Collosus and pci/ pci-e ones
