REALLY WHAT IS THE POINT !!!! who would fall for this !!!!!!!! really... who ?

who in the right mind wouldnt firstly look at the email addy, then think huh this must be legit ill scan my passport and email it to them !!!!!!!!! WTF !!!!

I recieved the exact same mail a few days ago.

I tend to reply in quite an excitable manner to get them to take the bait that I am a legitimate fool who is interested in the scam - then lead them on a wild goose chase.

Hours of entertainment :)

you should never reply to these emails man every email you send sends the ip it was sent from in the email headers, these guys obv want to steal identities having a ip addy is another way to do it...


however spam phone calls i do that to, one woman thought she had put the phone down and was telling the person sat next to her how i must have been a immigrant to have 17 people living in a 3 bedroom house

i usually get mails that say that my Diablo 3 account is illegitimate, abour 1 per week. a few days ago i got a mail saying that my paypal account is endangered, i immediately freaked out to make sure that it is secured, but then i remembered that i don't even have a paypal account.

I don't think Gmail includes the IP address with any sent e-mails. I know yahoo does, but I don't know about the rest. Still, I guess its safer to just get rid of these e-mails.
 
I got a similar kind of thing a few years ago and decided to have a bit of fun with it all summer...

Replied from an unused email, fake name etc...

Had quite a lot of fun with it though :)
They all just turn into, we need to do some legal work so please send the sum of $XXXX to this bank account. So I just went on saying I had my own lawyer working in 'Benin' (the country where all my monies were being held) and how I'd got him to do the legal work.
They eventually got a bit annoyed after asking again and again for my phone number, to which I replied:

I'm sorry, I currently do not have a phone.

Kept me entertained for a few months - and hopefully wasted their time :)
 
I had an indian guy who was either called "Scott" or "Jack" he couldnt make up his mind, and then went on to ask if i wanted a conservatory. After about a good hour of him explaining how good a conservatory is i asked how they fit it to a 3rd floor flat. He hung up the phone.

i wouldn't stress to much about ip addresses as you can just connect to people on xbox and get there ips through cain and able if they were interested in doing it by finding out ip addresses there are better ways of doing so :)

and phone calls are the best i just go along with what they say whilst not doing anything XD
 
hmmm cain n able awesome like did you see the watchdog where the guy was using it to pick up packets from emails in public cafes ?
 
Ive just watched it on YouTube, that's why you use a proxy when on public wifi but home wifi is all to hack able with linux :/
 
lol nope we've been out with the kids and watched wreak it Ralph in 3D... which is now my favorite film of all time..... ALLL TIME it was awesome!!!!!! so we had a mc D's for tea ;) they didn't serve rice :( i do like a bit of rice.. i have some somewhere :P

i can only imagine how messy it must be to get that stuff out of your loop. haven't been to the cinema for quite a while, seems like there are no good movies lately, also movies in german aren't really appealing to me anymore. i hope you had a great day with your family ;)
 
I'm not defending it guys, but there IS a point to spam.

1) it has zero cost
2) for every 10 people that falls for a $30 scam out of a million, thats FREE $300, multiply that by a couple billion emails.. it's a license to print money.

Unfortunately people are, in-fact, stupid... and more people fall for this crap than you would believe.
 
lol i know what the point is is just mega annoying....... bots are my worst enemy, what kind of bot protection do you have on here ? is it just captcha on the register page
