Sound-card? Yes/No?

Put it in the bottom slot, rather starve the cooler bottom card than the hotter top card.

/Edit : Depending on how the slots are wired, you could also have the sound card in the top slot, so it wouldn't cover anything, then have your cards set out the same as they are now, just each a slot lower

That's not a bad idea, but according to my mobos manual it says that a sli configuration should be where the green bars are in the picture I sent above. Or they can be in the first top slot and the most bottom slot, problem with them being one at the top and one at the bottom is there are cables that come out of my mobo and they will definitely get in the way of the most bottom gpu.

Do you think the gfx cards will still perform the same if they are in the configuration that you mentioned? Even though my mobo doesn't show you can have it in that config.

As long as you have 2 other slots that are wired for at least 8x (not counting the top one) you will be fine.

They are all x16. Please read my reply above and let me know your opinion on it.

Beware that the slot is sized for 16x, but that does not mean that it's wired that way. If you look closely you can see contact points in the slot (or at the back of the board). Some only go halfway, which means that the slot is only wired for 8x. Some are even 4x.

Maybe it would be nice to figure that out for each slot, before you make a decision.

Hmm. My mobo manual says that they are all x16 pci 3.0 slots?

According to the spec page you linked on page 1 they are all x16 slots.
You have 3 generation 3 slots (the larger clips) and 2 generation 2 slots.
I'm not sure of the difference between them though , maybe someone with more knowledge than me can give you a better explanation of them .
What video cards are you using?

Just check the back of my mobo now. The larger clips are all definitely x16 but the other 2nd gen pci slots can fit x16 but there are only x8 pins on the rear of the mobo.
