Something Special

quick question: Does the ends of hardline tube have to be perfectly straight?

Not perfectly, just about all hardline fittings seal on the sides of the tube not the end face so it isn't critical. A little angle will be fine, particularly with the primochill compression fittings, they are really big and simple compared with others.

thanks mate, i thought i would have to redo all the bending all over again :o

well it's been sometime since i had an update and i really don't have much to post, because nothing has turned up or back in stock yet...

but i have been playing around with the loop order and have come to realise that i don't have the space and skill needed to get the bends to where i'm happy with it and so i'm going to have to use angled fitting here and there to get everything the way i want it so.

also going to see if i can put in a PSU shroud made up.

also i've been testing the cables out to see how much room i have...

Coming along very nice now fella, your bending skills are impressive. How are you going to tame the cables? Combs, Lacing, Training?

Death threats?

Shame you keep changing the loop and have to redo tubing again but your building up lots of experience. I preferred the very first layout as it didn't need that insanely tight and awkward run from the GPU to the CPU.

i'm going to be honest here, the bending is sh*t imo and i need to redo all of it asap but with PETG and angled fittings.

I'm not happy with using angled fittings but i can't keep wasting money on tube so close to xmas or everyone is getting socks and slipper and i'll be the most hated uncle in the world lol

as for cable i'm not sure yet and this just happened

You did really good with bending, don't start throwing money at fittings!

trust me i'm not happy about, but if mess up one bend out of 3 or 4 bends i'll have to redo that all of them again.

but on the upside not only will it save me time, it'll also allow me to get a cleaner look and i'll also be able forces on other parts of the build.

Bending looks spot on matey - Kudos

thanks mate :)

Those bends look very good indeed! Being a first time bender it's totally normal having to redo bends a lot. I had to use 16 2foot rods for my build until it came out decent enough ;)

UPDATE:

so after a stressful day doing some work on the build and some parts turned up and got the EK D5 cover on the pump :)

got the last few bends done.
the one linking the two rads, a real pain in the a$$..

Awesome dude, so pleased you decided to stick at the hard lining it really has come along so nicely, especially as you were a newb at it, take a bow and huge Kudos.

thanks guys it's been emotional with all the other stuff going on, I've only had about 1 maybe 2 hours a day to work on this.

the good news if the leak test is done!

now i'm not sure what else i can do, any suggestions?

EDIT: i'm also thinking of putting an OC3D logo some there, what are your thoughts?
