Anyone seen any of these 32GB drives for sale.

I am dead tempted as a boot drive - I think it might work quite well and 32GB is just about big enough to take seriously...

I haven't seen any available yet mate. There are plenty of NAND based USB flash drives, but no HDD that I can see.

I keep seeing announcements that companies have released them - but no actual availability. And obviously no reviews yet either...

Yeah you get that, it's not uncommon. We may start to see some movement after CeBit. Try and keep an eye on news updates via our news or just the web in general, and I'll try and find out some info on expected release dates via my travels for news tonight.

Edit: Have found some, better have plenty of folding stuff:

I beleive there are some in the pipeline... here although these are for laptops atm and are a combo of platter and NAND HDD... Not 100% 'solid'

I have seen that website before - but I am expecting something a bit different - and a whole lot cheaper......

I shall keep my eyes open...

Thats what I am thinking - a solid state hard disk booting the OS and some of the applications...

The I/O speed would need to be looked at carefully but the potential is there...

I think the demand is so high at the moment that whatever is being made is getting put into laptops and other portable devices.

I cracked and bought one......

Should arrive in the next few days and when the new PC arrives it test it and see wether its worth the money...
