Small talk & Chit chat

Decent looking Cooler for the *Strix. I normally disliked them, but this one certainly flows nicely with the dark theme in my case. Just a shame id never use an air cooler.

I'm quite looking forward to getting the big Navi 6900XT, Performance pending of course, The stock cooler this time looks really good IMO.

As far as Gsync freesync go its win win for me. I finally got a samsgun G7 that doesnt flicker in Gsync. So if by miracle I go AMD, im sorted still.

240hz, with HDR is quite nice in Horizon. Tried HDR in F1 2019 but it was horrendous

Little warning for all, do not update icue to latest 3.33.246.

It is horribly broken and causing many issues with all peripherals. Corsair are aware of the bugs but no fixes yet. This affects all mice, keyboards and headsets.

Yup I got lucky too. Seems Asus changed the firmware on my new one so I don't have to drop it to 120hz.

Still rocking LINK over here :D

Serious question though, is it worth switching to iCue when all I do is control my H100's pump and fans?

Don't ever install Gigabyte RGB Fusion. It's AIDs for your PC

Killed my Windows 10 install stone dead last night.

Just ripped out my NZXT smart device since I really dislike its habit of forgetting its settings when PC is taken off mains - I generally don't run background software unless absolutely necessary and rely on internal memory of peripherals.
Well, as it turns out, default NZXT case fans are DC, and all I've got is a splitter and a single CASE_FAN header to work with. :D Ordered some more Arctic PWM fans to accompany the current lonely 140mm fan, I've been looking for an excuse to get rid of those NZXT ones anyway.

Just a quick question I want to ask you guys, please.

Can I get a different RAM kit and run it in unison with my current one, should the timings, speed, and voltage match? I'm contemplating jumping to 32GiB but the same RAM kit I've got is non-existant now.

It "should" work. However, we know in this game should can mean "doesn't".

Even my main rig is turning into a kludge city. Stuck some fans in there to improve airflow, including a top fan. It's not doing much but at least the top vent doesn't become an intake for dust. Well it interfered with the metal fan fittings my cooler came with, so replaced them with cable ties.

Been really enjoying Art of Rally recently, got it for £7 with the £10 Epic coupon you get from downloading Rocket League, nice simple aesthetic but a surprisingly detailed driving model. Game goes through history year by year with somewhat accurate representations (Or yano, instantly recognisable both visually and audibly) of various historical rally cars.

I made this video to show friends last week, but it looks like Jimmy Broadbent will be premiering his first time with the game in an hour, strongly recommend it anyway, like an eccentric lighthearted Dirt Rally

OCUK's generic email going out to people who pre ordered the 3090.

Obviously they are not footing the bill for that, so someone else must be. I wonder if it's MSI or Nvidia?

Total bloody shambles.
