Unfortunately while definitely not a minger, she's recently -and happily- married. She's paid me more than I asked for to do it so I can't complain at all though.

Never been so scared of repairing a machine in my life, haha.

Just finished playing Deliver us the moon.

Pleasantly surprised. Great story. RTX is mediocre, but then again, I went to bed at 3am. Started it and couldnt stop so I could find out what happened.

Looks like I won't be ordering a PS5 anytime soon. That price is stupid... 2k for a controller?

£840 for the console
£168 for the controller

the new PS5 caption "play has no limits" clearly that was added to account for the pricing.

Isn't stuff in Norway usually a bit more expensive than the UK ? If it ends up being £800 it's a no go from me, £500 was my limit.

Norway has been expensive but cheaper than UK actually. Accounting for exchange rate too.

On the swedish komplett.se, the console is 9999kr

There's a reason why Sony have not told us the price yet. If it were good they would have been bragging about it ages ago.

I hope these are just placeholder prices

Same. But Komplett has been the biggest store in Norway, its the OCUK of scandinavia, and they have rarely been wrong about anything when it came to pricing. They have an outstanding price match guarantee too.

It could be a safety buffer because of the volatile kroner, but I do not see the price budging that much.

Sweden and Norway prices are listed, but Denmark has still withheld it.

There were Amazon UK price leaks not that long ago that pegged it at £600 iirc but they were refuted as placeholders. Didn't realise that may have been because they were too low rather than too high. Even so I couldn't see anything over £600 actually selling in this climate so I think they'd rather sell it at a loss than do that.

Considering the PS4 Pro launched at £399'ish ? If the PS5 is in the price region of £800 I cannot see many people getting it, The days of consoles being the cheaper gaming alternative could be well and truly over.

Was a bit bored so took the metal plate off the Corsair A500 CPU cooler, Sanded it down, Washed it, Gave it a few coats on all sides of black engine enamel paint, Lightly sanding in-between coats to remove any uneven build up, Put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 250'c and put it back on, Looks a lot better in black than grey IMO.

Morning all,

I'm having to RMA a monitor and am on my third replacement as each replacement has also been faulty. At any point (or at all) am I within my rights to ask for a new replacement (rather than refurb) or a refund if a continue to get faulty reppacements?

Depends when you originally bought the monitor, As far as refunds go, But these companies have covered their own backsides as far as replacements go, Best you can do is ask and the worst they can do is say no, If they say no just sell your monitor and go for a different brand.

Which monitor is it out of curiosity ?

ROG PG279Q.

Original unit was 2.5 years old and developed a screen defect, sent it for RMA nad have since been provide with three replacements all with the same issue already on the screen. Am getting ed up of having to keep sending them back only to be disappointed with the replacement.

The lastest replacement has an issue with the screen AND the speakers don't work... Like, WTF?

My issue with selling is I'd have to sell with the defect which would reduce the selling price :(

Not surprising, Welcome to Asus, Their quality control is some of the worst I have ever seen, A few years back I went through 7 x PG278Q's, The issues ranged from half the screen being dead, Screen flicker, The whole monitor being covered in dirt, 1 monitor stunk of smoke and the whole base was covered in ash along with another monitor legit stinking of faeces.

Asus do not give a crap as they know they have a large market share when it comes to monitors so get away with extremely sub par service.

You will lose out but it's worth it to get away from Asus, Get a replacement, If it's ok sell it and get a Dell.

Half way there, already got my eyes set on a AW3420DW. Wanna try that UW!

Frustratingly, I've had an ASUS MX27AQ for around 5 years and it's been flawless!

It's very hit and miss with Asus, Their gaming line of monitors seem to get issues far quicker than their Pro, Budget and general non gaming series of monitors, I wouldn't put it passed them to use B-grade panels in their gaming monitors, Based purely on my own experience.

Those Asus PH27xxxx lineup is notorious for issues of any and all kinds. I would fully try to get a refund from them.

Then move on to MSI, Gigabyte, LG. They all seem to be making good gamer stuff.

I'm personally looking at an Eve Spectrum (again). Not sure of 4k 144 or 2k 240hz.
