Small talk & Chit chat

Part of the stockpiling going on generally is for stockpiling supplies, if a No Deal Brexit happens many supply chains are cut, and just-in-time supply trains in particular are at great risk, pretty much any product that we import and doesn't have to be JIT has already been stockpiled incase of a no deal Brexit. But also with the risk of the £ dropping even further means companies have to stockpile cash too, because although they might have enough to pay everyones wages now if the £ loses a few percentage points quickly then the effective cost of imported products or anything that relies on them also goes up means a companies cash reserves effectively drop.
But it's hard to understate how many jobs rely on EU funding in rural areas like Wales and Cornwall, these kinds of places get big investment from the EU in the form of things like agricultural & structural funds to maintain their economy as they're quite high risk low income areas that don't really get enough funding from our own government.

I don't blame you mate. Big glaring injustice in my view.

So regarding 'stockpile' do they mean EU money they were supposed to be paying people's wages with? If so, there has to be a law against that somewhere or something because that sounds like fraud to me.

No law against it sadly. Their positions were created due to the funding, and so it can be revoked in the same way.

The money was intended to be used for whatever means necessary, so it has been re allocated. They found new work now, but it still has put their lives in turmoil. Just think of how many across the uk in same situation. Or companies packing up shop and heading overseas to remain in EU.

I still don't think we will leave, or if we do it will be in name only, May's deal is basically leave in name only, I'd be surprised if it doesn't go to another peoples vote with the choice may's deal or remain and nobody wants may's deal except her

A confirmatory referendum(After all the original one was a non-legally binding advisory referendum and really if it were a binding ref on a long term constitutional issue it should have followed precedent and required a two-thirds majority to change status quo) did get the most support of the alternate plans voted on by MPs, but a deal while staying in the customs union was the least opposed, but even Labours plan, common market 2 or revoking article 50 entirely got more support than May's deal, so even now its hard to say what a withdrawal bill would look like.

The only one of the options that will sit well with the EU for now is a confirmatory referendum though, they previously stated that is the only way they'd grant delays, and we'd need a leader change before they'd reopen negotiations, part of the reason some like Macron finally gave in and granted an extension is because they realised how incompetent May was and no longer trusted her to stick to deadlines or get anything done herself.

Personally I feel we need another GE in order to get Brexit through otherwise we're going to be left with another (Roundly despised, including by half their own party) buffoon who just survived the internal blood fest that occurs whenever the Tories have to choose a new leader, I think a 2nd referendum would cause more chaos than its worth, but it'd also be the easiest way forward for MPs so is probably most likely.

Up yours Ikea. You were right, Warchild. Funny thing? It doesn't even fit their own bed frame. So it wouldn't even drop in place.

My sheets will also fit now, bonus.

I know the EU said they'd extend the dead line for another referendum or a GE, but I don't think who ever is PM will be able to get a deal through parliament, I think the only 2 that would is revoke article 50 or another referendum, but I think the big issue with another referendum is MP's wouldn't want a No Deal exit as an option while the people would and there's the argument of should remain be an option as that's already been and gone

Any parliamentary majority with a strong whip could get a deal through, the only issue at the moment is no party holds a majority, the Tories need support of the DUP to have a majority in order to pass bills which they usually have on account of the supply agreement that got them into power while Labour would need the support of the SNP, CUK(formerly TIG), Greens, Lib Dems, Plaid & SF while DUP abstain to have a majority over the Tories.

It would only take small shifts in seats or some stronger agreements to get a majority with out of some of these votes, particularly customs union which only needs a small swing. Only Tory backbenchers support No Deal really and parliament has voted to put in protections against it happening while the EU doesn't want it to happen either since of course most supply chains and trading operations are mutually beneficial to either side or companies wouldn't create them.

What's telling in that image is how divided the parties first 5 all red on top last 3 all blue

To me if they go for 2,3,4 or 8 we may as well just stay in the EU.
Here's a question if there was another GE how would the voting work considering there's so many MP's standing for constituencies that voted leave and the MP's want to stay, the fun part of a GE is those MP's who went independent being out of a job

Ghey.

So yesterday I figured I'd do the stereo and get it hooked up to the TV. First mission was finding all the cables (I've just moved in) and then test everything. Sub checked out fine. My beloved Fatman Mi-Tube 2 though? Buzzing like it is on E. Spent hours looking at it and worked out it's not a valve fault as it buzzes badly even without them in.

Then I saw this.....

See if you can tell me what's wrong with that picture.

The black marks on the pcb in between 2 components?

Nah. I totally missed it at first...

Look at the two largest caps in the pic. First the one on the left, then the one on the right. It seems the one on the right has been eating fast food....

words cannot describe the amount of hype I have for this movie. Well there are words... none that are considered appropriate for a forum:p
Has 5.7 million views right now and I bet I'm at least half a million of those:D

tickets went live very early this morning and by 8am in every theather within the closest dozen cities were sold out. I got two tickets. Last two I could find.

Hoping it gets the same rating as Infinity wars so I can take my son to watch it, or he will be very disappointed

I haven't even seen the first part. I'm just sick of seeing super hero movies being produced now.

Throw in the fact that Brie Larson openly admits her hatred towards men.. and is turning man bashing into a trendy SJW movement, happy to pass on this. :)

If you avoided things in life because of one person (and their silly views) that was just a part of it, you'd probably be avoiding 99% of things in life.

Life's too short to worry about things like that.

That's been a thing long before Brie

If you haven't seen Infinity Wars you're missing the best Marvel film so far imo, but I agree they need a break from them, but as long as they make money it's not going to happen

I wasnt interested much in any of them. I guess Iron Man 1 is probably the only enjoyable one as it was different at the time. Now the charts are just flooded with Marvel, and DC.

I look at Netflix and I see the same along with all the tv series that accompany them :(

Not the main reason I'm not interested in seeing the movie. Just not missing much in skipping it.
