SLI problem

Hello there! I have 2x MSI gtx 560ti 2gb cards in my computer atm, but I've noticed the SLI is only working from time to time.. Some times it's using both of my cards and sometimes GPU 2 is at 0% use while gaming etc.. It has nothing to do with the game since I usually play Skyrim, Metro and Wow and SLI have worked for me from time to time in all 3 games.. it just seems to shut down whenever it feel like it :S

I just reinstalled the drivers and now only 1 card is working. And yes, I've set to "SLI" and PhysX to GPU 2 in the nvidia control panel so the computer SHOULD be running SLI right now, but it dont.

Is there anyone else who've had the same problem?

Another note is that when my computer is idling over night etc the GPU fans can be at 46% fan speed etc even when the cards is at 0% load so it seems to be something wierd going on inside my computer. One night it can be at 40% "normal" fan speed in MSI afterburner, and the night after it can be at 46% fan speed.

Would be epic to hear some thoughts about this problem from you guys

hi

did you also expierience system stability issues (crashes, freezes, BSOD's)?

edit:

concerning fan speeds: isn't it based on environment temperature in the case and finally in the room your rig is placed?!?

i think fan speeds between 40 and 50% are pretty normal for an 5xx series nvidia card.

I had issues recently with the new drivers. They kept telling me my SLI bridge was missing.

Thankfully I have a spare, but even that was doing the same. It's a driver bug apparently.

Not sure if it's what is causing your issues, but you can also try installing EVGA's SLI profiles.
