Here it is guys:
Finish overclocker Maki managed to overclock the card to 12278 in 3Dmark05. He overclocked the card from a default 625MHz core/1500MHz memory to a magnificent 877.5MHz core and 1980MHz memory. He used dry ice and he cooled the FX 57 to 3617.5 MHz to reach this score. This score is higher than normal non overclocked two Geforce 7800GTX in SLI as we tried to play with those two cards here. This little experiment shows one totally unexplored part of R520 chip as it can be overclocked sky high. Maybe this can help you make a buying decision.
Compare that to my volt modded single 7800GTX:

Volt modded 7800GTX 610/1450, Mach2 R507, FX55SD 270*13, BH5 1:1 2-2-2-6
10307 marks
Consider that my PCI-E was running at 8x (not 16x as SLI was still enabled) CPU overclock is 100mhz less (and not dry iced) and my GPU RAM is 500Mhz less.
The X1800 score is still mighty impressive at nearly 2000 marks more in 05, but how much of that can you put down to the memory bandwdith supplied by 1980Mhz? Not enough I'm, afraid - this is a meaty piece of hardware.
Personally I am becoming more and more impressed by the information we now see filtering through on this much anticipated release from ATI.
It should be noted that the units used in this test have been confirmed as 'hand picked ultra golden samples' as it was part of the ATI marketing weekend in Ibiza.
I would expect mainstream overclocks on extreme cooling to be an amazing 800/1750.
