May I ask why did you tape it before using the dremmel? Any specific reason for doing it this way?...

Because you can mark out your cut on tape. Also even though its incredible minimal, you are less likely to "slip" on the initial cut/mark with tape (when a novice user)

I'm definitely not a beginner in pc modding , but I like to have a clearly printed line on which I will sew, besides that the tape serves to protect the rest of the acrylic from the possible damaging and bundling of cut-off parcels.

Exactly. Wasn't implying you were a novice. Just kinda common that you tape something to mark it
