"Silent" Ringtone

If its the one i think it is people in my old school used to play it in the common room. Wich would then be followed by verbal abuse/violence.

no its not the one designed to hurt ur ears (yea ive heard that 1 too) the trick is to turn the speakers down just low enough

im guessing it will be quieter on your phone, meaning not as easy to hear / not as heavy on the ears...might try that later

the ironic thing is, they tried to use this against us (us being the youths of today, unfortunately not all are as well behaved as me :) but now it has been utilised against them (them being the grumpy grown ups)

man that sounded like an evil 3 year old bent on world domination

WTF, that is such an annoying sound. I heard it, even after the website said "many adults lose the ability to hear at this frequency, after the age of 25" and I'm an old fart @ 33

LMAO

yeah EXACTLY the same as in my common room, thats going on my phone actually

I was excited I thought maybe someone finally had a ring tone that was noise cancelling. Imagine how awsome it would be if the room got quieter when your phone rang.

I think that would be put under the "miracle" catagory :) And someone would end up veeeeery rich.

ive got it on my phone, its at such a low volume that only I can just about hear it - i think thats the method, get it so low that you can only just hear it and it should not be heard by adults

Tbh this is what my phone has 'silent' and 'vibrate only' settings for. Why would you tourture yourself when you have those profiles.
