They would most definitely believe that trash. Coming from a religious family (Father and 2 x sisters all go to church), I so wanted to ask where in the bible they had scripture to base their beliefs on. Laughable tbh

I dont know of any religion that makes such generalisation and sweaping statements that damn any nation and puts their own above the rest.

I have found in my life that Christians have been the worst for narrow mindedness, forcing their views on others and also alienating anything else as being evil or corrupt.

I have seen so many 'good christians' put down other races and religions.

Afaik, each bible, whether it be under the title of King James or whoever, has always been adapted/re-written to suit the ruler of the time.

So what`s wrong with some1 adopting a new bible ?

These days it would seem that followers of whatever bible change what the texts say, or how they believe it to mean, to meet their requirements of `modern day life` - as opposed to doing what `it` says, which if they`re that dedicated they should do.

@realitybytes - I am not too sure, doing some RE homework and came across it. I couldn't believe it.. it was nothing like anything I had ever seen.

Oh, and for the records I am not religious in the slightest.. just needed a good base for my agrument.

If you are interested have a browse around there forum... you can find threads like "The earth is flat" and so on. Unbelievable.

The KJV1611 Bible is the LITERAL Word of God. Who are you to say otherwise? Who are you to tell us which verses to follow and which to treat as a fairy tale?

We are not "feelgood" Christians who pick and choose which verses to follow, pal. We are True Christians™, and we follow the entire Bible, word-for-word. Glory!!

I think both Christianity and Catholicism (and Islam to a point) have both grown to a point where they cannot be grouped as one definitive set of beliefs. There is a massive majority who are in it for the good aspects, and despite your views on their beliefs, you have to respect them. Others however, need liquidating.

I would suggest the use of Buddhism as a role model but they've recently been throwing glass bottle and bricks at police haha.

I would like to see figures showing the percentage of people following the major religions who have been born into it against those who have been converted. And which side of the religion ( devout and extremists) has what sort of concentration of both.

I agree, a great many of the nicest people i know are religious, but i guess they are the namby pamby ones who only follow the bits they want to.

Then again, most of the worst atrocities have been done in the name of/or against the name of some religion.
