I can guarantee that you'll be dissapointed with that watercooling kit.
- You need atleast a dual 120mm radiator, if not that than something bigger. I would recommend a heatercore modded by weapon. It's just as good as a triple 120mm radiator and it cools better and it's cheaper. I made the mistake of buying two 80mm radiators -- what a waste of money that was, not to mention the performance of each radiator is poor.
- You're going to need a good pump. The head to GPH ratio is crutial. One with many GPH and no head is no good. One with no GPH and lots of head is no good. All in all, you can't go wrong with the MCP650 (the D4 Dangerden pump).
- the CPU waterblock is crucial. The better impingent waterblock you get the more temperature drop you'll see. I recommend the Storm G5 or the TDX. The TDX is cheaper and it's probably worth getting.
- You want all ½" barbs / ½" tubing (Tygon 3603(i think) tubing).
- You want a resevoir (it helps flow when behind a pump) but a fillport will suffice.
- ABSOLUTELY NO 90° Fittings. DO NOT USE THEM. IN FACT -- don't use any fittings at all if you can avoid it. They will hinder flow. If you're using a fillport you will need a T fitting which is okay.
- You're probably going to want a chipset block
- Do not cool the GPU with the same circuit you cool your CPU/Chipset. It has been done successfully but it's not recommended by those who know better. If you plan on cooling your GPU, buy a second pump and run a whole different circuit for the GPU (You will need another radiator to do this, you do not want to use the same water that you use to cool your CPU). Therefore, fragtek's setup (which happens to be nicely modded and well put together) is not the route you want to take. He uses the same waterloop/radiator and even if it works fine for him it's still a big no-no. If you're looking to cool your GPU, you're going to need a very big radiator to do it like fragtek or you'll need two smaller radiators (one bigger than the other for the CPU) to cool each efficiently. Fragtek, i'm not looking to start a flame war. I would probably run my setup the exact way you did if i didn't have the money to buy two radiators and if i didn't have the space in my case to fit two radiators. the PC-75 case is pretty big so it could happen (IMO).
- another note about GPU blocks: do not buy one that cools the ram, it doesn't work well. just by a DD maze4 block and some ramsinks.
