For a few weeks now I have been trying to put together a new pc (thought I would treat myself
).
The components are;
Corsair Obsidian 800D
Gigabyte P67A UD7 B3
Intel i7 2600K
Kingston HyperX DDR3 2133 4gig kit
Mushkin Calisto SSD
Seagate 500gig 7200 (2 of)
Corsair AX850 Gold
AND HOW COULD I FORGET..........The mandatory NOCTUA NHD14.
Firstly the Obsidian ordered from Scan computers arrived damaged.......and not at the hands of the courier.....but had at some stage been removed from it's packaging, been damaged, repacked and sent as new goods ! After reading them the riot act (actually the Sale Of Goods Act
)they did respond well and arranged collection and dispatched a replacement and not make me wait until they "sourced a new one from Corsair" as was their intention. BUT...give them their due, they always responded to emails and kept me in the loop.
NOW....I find the motherboard ordered from Aria arrived with a fault (the 2 "A" channel memory slots) and the pc will not post with a module installed in either of them. After 2 days, 1 RMA request placed on their site and 1 email direct to Customer services.......... NO RESPONSE !! It was then that I looked at the Aria forums (the bits about RMA's and returns mostly)...........quite frankly I wish I had checked them BEFORE ordering as the posts paint a picture of horrendous service !
Now then, I know some of the Aria staff are members here and this is not a direct swipe at them, but (like our own TTL) I believe in saying it as it is !
When will these retailers finally realise that happy customers ALWAYS COME BACK !
Finally (good I here you say) I believe a company is judged on how it deals with complaints and RMA's and NOT on how quickly it can ship out new components (as even a juvenile can do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
RANT OVER.........................(heads off in the direction of the fridge to liberate a can with the intent of drowning sorrows)
