Hi fellas. New guy in town. Been looking for some experts to help me with setting up my computer.

I have a 8-months old

  • CPU Make

  • CPU

    Quad Core 3.3GHZ 1155 6MB Overclocked 4.3Ghz
  • Motherboard

    Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
  • Graphics Card

    Sparkle GTX570 1280MB GDDR5 HDMI - Overclocked
  • Memory

    Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333 - total 16GB

I've got Samsung 1Tera hardisk and 40GB Corsair Force SSD installed with Windows 7.

The hardisk has like 100gb left and SSD 5GB, which drove me to buy a new SSD, Corsair 120GB GT.

Now after all this introduction my question is how i can, properly and safely, remove old windows which stayed on my 40GB SSD and activate it on my new 120SSD without damaging and losing any information and more importently, optimize BOTH SSD to max performance(as i recall you need update drivers, activate/disable certain windows features and etc...).

I would be immensly grateful if someone could run me through this safe and sound.

Cheers,

Tal

to get windows onto the new drive should be a fairly simple process.

My preferred method would be to download ultimate boot cd (www.ultimatebootcd.com) and use one of the utilities in there to clone the disks (copy wipe if i remember correctly is a nice easy to use one)
