I need a new PSU. I am going to be running it on a MSI Neo2 Platinum with a AMD 64 3200+ venice, in a Lian li pc-65 case. I need something just powerful enough to run my main compenents, maybe a cathode or two, and be able to handle minimal overclocking. I hear antec + neo2 = BAD so, anything but antec? haha... my budget for the PSU is anything under $80.. please give me some suggestions!

All I can safely reccomend is Enermax. Look on Newegg. Their noisetaker line is great, stable, and not bad priced.

I can recommend AC Ryan's RyanPower2 - Its a modular PSU and it was stable as a rock for me :) I loved it to bits :D

Other than that, any of the following makes in 480w+ should do you fine:

PC Power & Cooling

OCZ

Enermax

Antec

Tagan

But NOT Antec. You are right. Antec + Neo 2 = Dead motherboard + other stuf.

I would get either an AC Ryan, Enermax or possible a Tagan for that budget. The Tagan 550w is very cheap in the UK at the moment. :)

Best PSU in the price range you specified would be the OCZ 420w PowerStream. Slick little unit that'll do you proud.

whatever you do dont get one by colours, because they break if you leave your computer on in a lightening storm with no protection, so dont get one!!!

Firstly that was a cheapo PSU anyway. Secondly any bloody PSU will break if you have no surge protector and you electrical system gets a strike by lightning! Man you don't think sometimes....

thanks for all the advice.

problem: i can't find a PSU named AC ryan's!! haha I know it is probably something right infront of my face I just can't seem to find it! can someone link me or tell me where to find one?
