Secondary Hard Drive missing files

Today, I was just playing games like I usually would... I then decided to go shower, I did, then I came back. I opened up my external 2TB HDD and realized that 350Gb worth of games was missing...

I right-clicked to look at the properties of the HDD, it says that 490Gb is being used, but when I highlight all the folders in the HDD and go into properties only 113Gb is being found...

Anyone know what happened or how I could fix this?

The folders might have become hidden. Go to folder options from the control panel and make sure that you are showing hidden folders. If you can see the folders after doing that "unhide" them via folder properties. Other than that the only thing I could think of is using a program like recuva to search the recycle bin.

Yeah, I have already tried un-hiding everything, nothing worked... I'll try using recuva.

That's very strange. Yep, try recuva and make sure to do a deep scan just in case. Can you still play the games?

Yep, recurva worked. Thanks.

I couldn't run any game, because I set all games to install on my storage.

70,000 files are back where they are suppose to be

Probably a bit of the disk got corrupted, happened to me once, ran the "Check Disck X" and clicked both the boxes, brought back a lot of space.

Well, there is no definite cause for why my data was deleted, or atleast not from what we can compute. Atleast, I got it back.
