I did notice when I took my Founders Edition apart to fit the GPX that it had thermal pads in other areas so I added extra pads to the front and back side of the PCB before fitting the blocks down, also my pumps run a tad faster than 700 - 900 RPM which contribute greatly to my low temps. After 5 hours of gaming I sit comfy at 35c with the i7 around 40c, they both idle between 25 and 27c.

Glad you got your system up and running, once the majority of the micro bubles have moved out you should start to see a great drop in temps.

My pumps run at 1800'ish RPM, it's only the fans that run around 700-900 RPM. I did actually place in all thermal pads that possible could be there, also tied down a 4th bolt beneath the backplate which it seems Alphacool didn't think should be there, but alas there was room for it lol.

But I think it might actually be my GTX 1080 that's being weird, as I did have issues with it beforehand. It gets hot, REALLY hot! Some games it could hit 87C in long sessions even with a max temp set in Afterburner to 83C, and the airflow in the chassis was fine. I even added a fan right behind the graphics card, but it didn't give a damn about that. It might be on its way to GPU heaven, who knows... It's just being weird even with the FE cooler attached.
