Seasonic X460 Fanless being a b******

What's with you and not fitting 24 pin fittings ( kidding :P ).
Lucky nephew you got there, I bet he's gonna love that rig. I can tell you this, it's alot better than mine. I see you're using AMD for your nephew, and your rig is Intel powered :).

Well, I've got a lot of computers to be honest ;)
Most of them are actually AMD powered, only 3 got Intel CPUs.
So if Intel fails, AMD will be there to do the job :p
But quadcore's the minimum I have here.

Good for you. I now that AMD is going trough a hard time keeping up with Intel and most enthusiasts are all over Intel so it's surprising to see people also use AMD along with Intel ( 3 core is the best I've ever had :P ).
Hopefully for me, an upgrade will follow, but I don't see it coming in the near future lol.

Don't get me wrong, my AMD gear isn't recent: Phenom II X6 1100T, Phenom X4 9950, Athlon II X4 640,...
It's just as back-up and it's convenient when I've got my nephews over for a LAN-party.

But back to the question at hand: any ideas about sleeving the extension cable?

Honestly... i think you should look into getting yur problrm fixed with th 24 pin not fitting before considering sleeving the extension cable.

Hmm ah ha, now I remember.
Does your 24pin connector have a 20 pin block and then 2x2 so a separate four pin attached?
As you're maybe putting them in the wrong way.
Its just an idea and I hope you sort your problem soon mate.:)

Let me just make this crystal clear: I'm not new to computer assembly.
And if you'd have read the previous posts, you'd have seen the pic that shows the 4-pin bit can't be at the wrong side.

It has just one side where you can attatch it to the 20pin, a sign that it only goes that way. And BesiX manages to stick half of the mount in there but it won't stay in. If trough some "mirracle" the 4pin was reversed it wouldn't go in at all.

Why don't you try one of those great BitFenix Alchemy extension Cables? if those don't fit eiter it have to be some Issue with ur MoBo Connector.. BitFenix Quality is outstanding so there wouldn't be anything wrong with thier extension cables.

He did use an extension cable, which surprisingly... fitted. The other surprising thing is that the PSU connector fitted with the extension cable but not with the mobo's mount lol. So... it's a mistery still.

Those are basically the same as NZXT ones, which I tried already. They didn't fit.
What I still could try is the braided PSU cables by Corsair... (Hoping they'd work with Seasonic PSUs. Same connectors, so it should work, no?)
