Saved £900 for a GPU - GTX 690 or .....

Personaly i would scrap the 690 idea, 2x 670 is only 2-5% slower depending on the test usualy and is like 20% cheaper.

If you like your screen and would like to keep it 1x 670 will max EVERYTHING out at 1080p with as close to 60fps constant as you can get.

If you wana drop the £900 you saved into a larger upgrade then you should 100% look into the 27" Yamasaki Catleap Q270 SE 2560x1440 monitors on ebay from south korea, They use the same screen as the ones that are in the £899 Apple Cinema displays and a slightly different model to the 27" 2560x1440 Dell screens if i remember reading right.

Ive been doing some reading up on them and tons of people on other forums have been getting them and loving them for the cost of around £200~, a quick google should bring up a ton of pages with info on.

Pair that new screen with 2x 670's and you can either be £70 under budget or right on the £900 budget depending on what brand/models of 670 you get.

With the existing 1920x1200. I'd stick with a single 680 or 7970 tbh.

Cash left over, I'd look in other areas. SSD and so on.

Yeah, completely forgot about what screen size he is using! That is the obvious question to ask! So yeah, 1 screen? 1 670 is all you need.
