Sapphire is set to launch its new SAPPHIRE HD 2900 XT TOXIC. Mind you it look as if they've let ThermalTake have a play around with it.

I wish people would realise that enthusiasts do not want silly pre-made, poor performance water cooling systems attached to their graphics cards. If you're going to market it at anyone, it should be beginners. Same goes for anything using pencil width tubing imo.

Exactly, what kind of half-assed marketing department doesnt even bother having a look around on enthusiast websites. Would take and hour at the most.....

And its not exactly like we or XS are hard to find....

It worries me that these companies (ie Thermaltake) stay in business wile turning out the same junk year after year while aiming it at enthusiasts

I dont think their aim is for enthusiasts, the only way there product is marketed is on the web, and we stumble upon it because we see everthing that comes out on the market, we know off first bat that it sucks but for the people that are curious or being introduced to watercooling get these setups because they want safe and no hassle no breakage or leakage. And most noobs or beginners do not want to start a self built or a put together water cooling. just my 2cents

Well providing PV used the content of their press release:

"Offering enthusiasts a simplified path to a faster, quieter system, the new SAPPHIRE HD2900 XT TOXIC features a drive-bay mounted water cooling system with integrated reservoir, pump and radiator system, efficient enough to cool not just the graphics card, but optionally a CrossFire pair of SAPPHIRE HD 2900 XT cards, the system CPU or other components."

Plus theyre 2900XT's and will cost a bomb. They've taken an enthusiasts card and while trying to make it more appealing to enthusiasts, have moved it into rich-idiot market.

The 2900XT's price point isn't bad at all on its own, but once you start adding a gimmick WC system to it like this one, and it adds an unnecessary $150 to the cost of the card, we have ridiculousness.
