hi guys just looking for some advice ? ive been lucky to get a great deal on 2x
Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Vapor-X OC so im going to snap it up £420

so just asking if anyone knows how 2 of these cards perform in crossfire and what power supply would I need for these 2 ?

A good brand 750w should be enough, probably best to go with a 850w though.

cheers that's what I had in mind.. looking at other peoples rigs on youtube with like 1000W and higher I think that's abit overkill

Yeah, 1000w is overkill in most situations, I don't think you need a 1000w for any dual card setup. Three cards you will definitely need at least a 1000w though.
